Middleton Cheney Village Open Gardens

We are delighted to offer an interesting mix of gardens, both large and small, here in Middleton Cheney together with a chance to see inside our beautiful church.

Middleton Cheney is situated 3 miles from Banbury in south Northamptonshire with an interesting church silhouetting the village, which is well worth a visit.

Event details

Date: 23 June

Opening time: 2–6pm.

Entry fee: To be confirmed. Children under 18 years are free - cash only on the day. 

Parking: either at the end of Glovers Lane or park in the village where spaces permit.

Accessibility: various sized gardens with some restrictions for wheelchair users due to uneven ground or steps.

Dogs: allowed on leads although some smaller gardens may be restrictive.

Refreshments: Peartree House (halfway down Glovers Lane).

Plant stall: some gardens may sell plants; honey is available for sale at 19 Glovers Lane.

Raffle: in aid of Katharine House Hospice, to be drawn on 9 September.

About Middleton Cheney

Middleton Cheney is a village and civil parish in south Northamptonshire. The village is about three miles east of Banbury and its name means 'middle farm/settlement’.

Traces of Neolithic, Bronze Age and Roman settlements have been found in the parish. There is a row of 19th-century almshouses on the former main road through the village.
