VOLUNTEERS

15 years of volunteering
Volunteers contribute enormously to the work of the hospice and the time and effort which is given is very much appreciated. Some volunteers choose to work directly with patients and families and do so by working closely with the nursing staff in the day unit or in-patient unit. Their role is to help achieve a warm, friendly and supportive environment. Some volunteers are drivers and transport patients from home to hospice or to hospital appointments. Volunteers are not involved in nursing duties.
In addition to the direct care of patients and families Katharine House volunteers support the organisation by carrying out a range of general duties such as administration and fund raising.
If you are interested in being a volunteer please contact Lucinda Lloyd at Katharine House.
